HYDROHOPE

Grow Your Well-Being

A peaceful garden will grow all year long, right in the heart of the HUB. It’s a special place where we use the magic of growing plants without soil to help people feel happier and healthier. HydroHope, our greenhouse initiative.

Hydroponic gardening is the future of growing food
and feeling good.

It uses less water and space than traditional gardening, and it allows us to grow fresh, healthy produce all year round, right here in our community. At HydroHope, we believe that access to fresh, healthy food is essential for both physical and mental wellness. We’re excited to share this amazing way of growing with you!

Here’s what you can experience at HYDROHOPE

  • Discover Hydroponics: We’ll teach you everything you need to know about this incredible growing method, from the basics of plant nutrition to building your own hydroponic system.
  • Nature’s Therapy: Caring for plants can actually make you feel calmer and less stressed. It’s like nature’s way of giving you a big hug!
  • Food, Fun, and Friends: We’ll teach you how to grow delicious, healthy food, have fun with garden parties and music, and make new friends who love hydroponic gardening too!
  • Growing Together: We’re passionate about exposing our youth to the wonders of hydroponics! We’ll have special events and workshops just for them, teaching them how to grow their own food and care for our planet.
  • Helping Our Community: Our goal is to grow so much fresh lettuce that we can share it with people in need at the local soup kitchen.

Here’s a sneak peek at some of the exciting workshops we have planned for HYDROHOPE.

  • Hydroponics 101 Workshop: Learn the basics of hydroponic gardening and build your own mini system to take home
  • Lettuce Grow Together Salad Party: Celebrate our first harvest with a delicious community salad bar featuring our very own hydroponic lettuce.
  • Kids’ Hydroponic Gardening Day: Fun-filled activities for children, including planting seeds, decorating pots, and learning about the amazing world of plants.
  • Music & Mindfulness in the Hydroponic Garden Workshop: Experience the calming effects of nature and music with guided meditation and mindful hydroponic gardening practices.
  • Teen Hydroponics Challenge: A friendly competition for teens to design and build the most creative and productive hydroponic system.

And this is just the beginning! We plan on having many more workshops, events, and programs in the works, all designed to cultivate wellness, creativity, and community through the power of hydroponic gardening.

This initiative is being made possible in part by the generous support of Access Navigation.
Please join us in our efforts to bring sustainable foods to our community — and cultivate mental and physical well-being through the innovative power of hydroponic gardening.
